Individual Therapy
Explore Your Relationship with Yourself
I help individual counseling clients understand the way they show up in the world. Childhood teaches us what to do with our emotions and what expect from relationships. But so often these default patterns are unclear until we do the work to make sense of our story.
When you acknowledge and accept your past, you can understand your present and heal your future. Research tells us that enduring a childhood in which we didn’t get consistent care and safety from our caregivers leads to an increased risk for anxiety and depression. As we search for the love and acceptance we crave in life, we may unintentionally adopt coping strategies and behaviors that make us feel even more stuck or hopeless.
If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or a tough season of life, we can make sense of it together.
Possible Areas to Explore:
- Stress, worry, overthinking
- Childhood wounds and trauma
- Emotional regulation
- Difficult relationships
- Feelings of isolation or loneliness
- Struggles with self-confidence or self-esteem
- Career or life goals
- Loss of motivation or lack of interest
- Feeling stuck
- Unexpected life changes
- Feelings of betrayal or distrust
Through individual therapy, I offer support as you face overwhelming circumstances. So many of my clients find that having a dedicated hour each week to process their concerns, insecurities, and fears with a safe other is invaluable.
